Because of the participation of our center in the elaboration of the ePEL (Language European ePortfolio) and taking the opportunity to celebrate 5th june World Environment Day, the students of 4th of ESO and eleventh grade, in the areas of Technology and Industrial Technology I respectively, have carried out research on the climate crisis that is currently being experienced worldwide.
To start with, the students have investigated and studied on the different environmental problems and the causes that produce them. Once the problem is understood, the pupils have been willing to investigate the solutions that are currently being applied and the most innovative technological proposals that are beginning to be applied or are still in the development and experimentation phases.
Once the entire research phase is finished, the students are now in a position to reflect on all that we can individually contribute to mitigate or solve these serious environmental problems that we are suffering. In the first place, they have produced a written work, which is entitled: “I WANT TO TAKE CARE OF YOU, I NEED YOU”. These works collect the results of their research and the individual contributions that they have considered most appropriate to take care of the environment individually. Next, they have designed different posters, using graphic design website Canva, in which each student presents the information they consider most relevant about everything investigated, all using English as vehicular language. To finish with, each group has produced a video in which different phrases are compiled, with environmental content, expressed by public figures with cultural and social relevance worldwide. In these videos, all the students express at least two of these phrases in English.
Last but not least, to celebrate World Environment Day and in order to give visibility to the work done by the students, an exhibition is going to take place in the center with the posters produced.

Con motivo de la participación de nuestro centro en la elaboración del ePEL (Portfolio Europeo de las Lenguas) y, aprovechando la ocasión para celebrar el Día Mundial del MEDIO AMBIENTE el 5 de junio, el alumnado de 4ºESO y 1ª de Bachillerato en las materias de Tecnología y Tecnología Industrial I respectivamente, han desarrollado una investigación sobre la crisis climática que se está viviendo en la actualidad a nivel mundial.
Para comenzar, los alumnos y alumnas han indagado y estudiado sobre los distintos problemas medioambientales y las causas que los producen. Una vez entendido el problema, el alumnado se ha dispuesto a investigar sobre las soluciones que se están aplicando actualmente y sobre las propuestas tecnológicas más innovadoras que se están empezando a aplicar o aún están en fases de desarrollo y experimentación. Terminada toda la fase de investigación, el alumnado ya se encuentra en disposición de reflexionar sobre todo lo que podemos aportar individualmente para mitigar o solucionar estos problemas medioambientales tan graves que estamos sufriendo.
Una vez recopilada y organizada toda la información, los estudiantes han llevado a cabo una serie de actividades para exponer y dar visibilidad a sus investigaciones. En primer lugar, han elaborado un trabajo escrito, que lleva por título: “I WANT TO TAKE CARE OF YOU, I NEED YOU”. En estos trabajos se recogen los resultados de sus investigaciones y los aportes individuales que han considerado más apropiados para cuidar el medioambiente a nivel particular. A continuación, han diseñado distintos pósteres, usando la web de diseño gráfico Canva, en los que cada alumno y alumna expone la información que considera más relevante sobre todo lo investigado, todo ello usando como lengua vehicular el inglés. Para finalizar, cada grupo ha elaborado un video en el que se recopilan distintas frases, con contenido medioambiental, expresadas por personajes públicos con relevancia cultural y social a nivel mundial. En dichos videos, todo el alumnado expresa en inglés al menos dos de estas frases.
Por último, pero no menos importante, para celebrar el Día Mundial del Medioambiente y con el fin de dar visibilidad al trabajo realizado por el alumnado, se va a montar una exposición en el centro con los pósteres elaborados.
